Often at Christmastime when my family gets together there are several dozen people to keep entertained. The variety of ages and general hustle and bussle makes it difficult to keep them all busy. Luckily, everbody likes playing Christmas bingo. This is also an excellent Christmas activity for teachers to play in the classroom — it scales well to a room full of children, can be dropped into almost any schedule, and is fun while building reading skills.
So here’s my Christmas present to you: free printable Christmas bingo cards.
I created some Christmas bingo cards which you can print out for free. There are 32 cards, printed 4 to a sheet (to save paper). They look substantially like this:
You can download 32 cards for Christmas bingo right now. (You also may want to print out a call list.)
These are in PDF format. Your computer can almost certainly read them already. (If not, you’ll need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader, also free.)
Just print, cut, and you’re ready to play.
You can download the Bingo Card Creator software for free, and print out up to 15 cards with it.
Use the Wizards menu to quickly make Christmas bingo cards. You can find them under Holidays. There are over 400 activities already included to get you started, or you can make your own.
First, everyone marks off their Free Space.
Then, one person takes turns randomly calling a word from the card. (You can use anything to mark the cards. I really like Christmas stickers for when I play this game with small children. You can also use small candies, which is a real hit with everyone because then everyone is a winner — just make sure not to eat them until the game is over!)
When a player fills up a row, diagonal, or column, they should stand up and shout “Bingo!” If you have actually called the 5 words they marked, they win. You can give the winner a small treat if you feel like. You can continue playing for multiple winners.
I wrote a few versions to Christmas bingo which are sensitive to the needs of some audiences, particularly teachers and the like. The above cards are sort of my baseline American Christmas set.
I also have a more traditional Christmas bingo set (also 32 cards also with available call list, about the Christmas story such as you will hear about in church).
In addition, you can download a mostly secularized “holiday” bingo, also with available call list, for folks who are more comfortable with that.
I’m a big fan of bingo as an educational activity and I give out a lot of goodies, both holiday bingo activities and all other sorts of educational ones. (Last time I counted I had about 450 different printable bingo games on my website. All of them include at least 8 free cards.) To keep constantly updated on what my passel of parents and teachers are finding most useful at the moment, all you need to do is copy this blue text onto your blog or website: <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.bingocardcreator.com/popular/widget5″></script> by <a href=”http://www.bingocardcreator.com/popular#widget”>Bingo Card Creator</a>.
That will put a constantly updated list of my 5 most popular free bingo activities on your site. The list includes a citation from where you got the cards from. I’d appreciate if you left that citation in, because it helps me get my name out on this big faceless Internet, but you do whatever you’re comfortable with.
If you have a friend, family member, or colleague that you feel would like this site — please, feel free to tell them! (Maybe from your blog or website?) This is one present that you don’t have to feel guilty about giving to other people, too.
I hope you and your families have health and happiness, this Christmas and always.
Sincerely,
Patrick McKenzie
P.S. I love hearing from folks. Feel free to drop me a comment if you like the cards!

This is wonderful. I am using the traditional cards for a Christmas Party at our church for a few of our more seasoned members. We will be using Christmas M & M’s for markers and eating the extras. Thank you for sharing this. It is a blessing.

Thanks for the great bingo games. Is there any way to make the cards a little larger before printing them off.
Thanks again!
