Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I used to use the downloadable version of Bingo Card Creator, then upgraded to Mac OS X Lion, and now it doesn't work. What happened?
The new version of Mac OS X is intentionally incompatible with a technology which Bingo Card Creator requires to run. Unfortunately, it isn't feasible to rewrite the software. You can still use the online version of Bingo Card Creator, available through this website. You can sign up for free or sign in if you already have an account.
If you previously purchased Bingo Card Creator, don't worry, your online account can also be upgraded to the registered version at no charge. You can do this yourself under Settings after you log in, if you know your Registration Key. If not, see the answer below about looking up your Registration Key.
Q: I used to use the downloadable version of Bingo Card Creator. Where did it go?
A: You can find the downloadable version here. We recommend using the online version instead, though. Most customers find it easier to use, and it has more features. You can sign up for free or sign in if you already have an account.
Q: I don't know what my Registration Key is. Can you help?
A: Sure we can! If you know your email address that you used to make the order or the Order Number (sometimes called Transaction Number) which you received in the email from Paypal or Google Checkout, just type it below and we'll look up your key automatically. Otherwise, send us an email and we'll be happy to look it up ourselves.
Q: I click Print and nothing happens, or blank paper comes out of the printer. What can I do to fix this?
A: One version of Bingo Card Creator was published with a problem when printing cards from a word list with exactly 24 words and a free space. It was available from our website for approximately 3 days before being discovered and fixed.
That version is identified as "Bingo Card Creator v2.50" in the Help -> About menu. If you have that version, you can fix the issue temporarily by adding one more word to your word list. We suggest you download the free trial of the software from this website. After you install it, your software will be the newer, fixed version, and you shouldn't see this issue any more.
I apologize for letting software with this issue in it get by me, and will try to avoid such lapses in the future.
Q: What is the difference between the downloaded Bingo Card Creator and using it online?
A: They are two different ways to use the software, and you can use whichever works better for you. The downloaded version has more options for styling your bingo cards. The online version can be used on any computer without having to install it. Both of them are easy to use and come with hundreds of bingo activities at no extra charge.
Q: I can print out bingo cards fine the first time, but if I close the program and try to print out the same list again I get the exact same cards. Is something wrong?
A: You are using the trial version of our software. The trial version allows you to print a limited number of unique cards for any given word list. This is so you can see whether our software is right for you. If it is, please upgrade to our full version. If you have already purchased a license to our full version, you need to enter the registration key you received to unlock your software. You can do this by clicking "Enter Registration Key" from the "Purchase Now" menu on the main screen, or from the button which appears on the splash screen when you start and exit the program. If you didn't receive a registration key but should have, we're very sorry! Just send us an email mentioning any information we have on file (your name, email address, etc) and we will look your key up in our records and send it to you.Q: My words come out in different sizes!
A: This happens when you attempt to fit too much onto one sheet of paper. For example, if you choose a large bingo board (e.g. 7x7), or many bingo boards (e.g. 4 on a page), or use very long words (e.g. Massachusetts), or some combination of these, and try to fit all of that onto a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper, something has to give. Our program will do its best to shrink the words without cutting them, because it would be unforgivable if a student came to think that the capitol of Illinois was Springfie.
